Cookie Policy - Glide

EFFECTIVE: May 25, 2018

If your browser is configured to accept cookies, we may collect non-personally identifiable information passively using “cookies” and “web beacons”.

Do I have to accept cookies?

In order to use the Services, you will need to have cookies enabled. If you reject cookies, you will not be able to log in and use the Services. In such a case you will receive a pop-up message that your browser cookies are not enabled. If you enable your browser to accept cookies, you can then refresh the page to continue. If your browser is configured to accept cookies, we collect non-personally identifiable information passively using “cookies” and “web beacons”. We use cookies to help provide our Services and for analytics purposes.

What are cookies, and why do you use them?

A “cookie” is a small software file stored temporarily or placed on your computer’s hard drive. The main purpose of a cookie is to allow a web server to identify your computer and web browser and then tailor web pages and login information to your preferences. Cookies help us promptly display the information you need to use the capabilities of the Services and other information which we consider to be of interest to you. By gathering and remembering information about your website preferences through cookies, we can provide a better web experience. Cookies don’t give us access to users’ computers, and the information we collect through cookies doesn’t include personally identifiable information. When you use the Services, we utilize “Session Cookies,” which allow us to uniquely identify your browser while you are logged in and to process your online transactions. Session Cookies disappear from your computer when you close your web browser or turn off your computer. We also utilize a “Persistent Cookie” to denote whether you have viewed the cookie policy.  Persistent Cookies remain on your computer after you close your web browser or turn off your computer. However, these are set so that they do not collect personally identifiable information such as IP address. We utilize various categories of cookies, which are summarized below along with the options available to you to manage them. Essential: Essential cookies are those that are critical to the functionality of the Services. We may use these cookies to keep a user logged into the Services and remember relevant information when the user returns to the Services. Functional: We use Functional cookies to track how you use the Services, to understand preferences, and improve the general user experience. These cookies can also be used to remember configurations of the Services that you can customize. Please be aware that this cookie policy does not govern the use of third-party websites or services or providers of third-party services. General Cookie Information Regarding cookies generally, although most browsers are initially set to accept cookies, you can change your browser settings to notify you when you receive a cookie or to reject cookies. To learn more about how to control privacy settings and cookie management, click the link for your browser below.

To learn more about cookies; how to control, disable or delete them, please visit https://www.aboutcookies.org. Some third-party advertising networks, like Google, allow you to opt out of or customize preferences associated with your internet browsing. For more information on how Google lets you customize these preferences, see their documentation. Many jurisdictions require or recommend that website operators inform users as to the nature of cookies they utilize and, in certain circumstances, obtain the consent of their users to the placement of certain cookies. If you are a Glide customer, it is your responsibility to inform the individuals with whom you interact using the Services as to the types of cookies utilized in the Services and, as necessary, to obtain their consent. If you require more specific information as to the nature of the cookies utilized in the Services for purposes of fulfilling these obligations, please contact us by email at Privacy@InsuredCreativity.com.

What's a Web beacon?

We may also employ web beacons to help us better manage content in the Services by informing us what content is effective. Web beacons are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of internet users. Unlike cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, web beacons are embedded invisibly on websites. We use web beacons for statistical tracking purposes only, and these are set up so that they do not collect or identify any personally identifiable information.

What are log files?

As is true with most websites, Glide gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information includes internet protocol addresses as well as browser, internet Services provider, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We do this for the purposes of maintaining the integrity of the system, system security, and compliance. Occasionally, we may connect personal information to information gathered in our log files, as necessary to provide or improve the Services (such as individual customer service requests). We take steps to anonymize this data.  Otherwise, we generally use this information as we would any usage data, to analyze trends, administer and maintain the Services, or track usage of various features within the Services.
